Chief Executive

Les joined the Trust in 1988. Before his appointment as Chief Executive in January 2008 he held the position of Secretary to the Council.

Gareth Everett, (Right centre)
Petitions and Grants Director

Gareth has overall responsibility for all of the Trust’s grant-making work and its contacts with beneficiaries, families and Case Almoners. Gareth is also responsible for the case adviser, administration and welfare teams that make up the petitions and grants department.

After graduating from university Gareth spent some time in retail management. He joined the Trust in 2000 and began his career as a Case Adviser.

Properties Director

Douglas joined the Trust in May 2007 advising in a part-time consultancy capacity. He has been a Chartered Surveyor since 1982 and has a wealth of property experience, of construction projects and developments involving listed buildings in Conservation Areas. In addition to his work at the Trust Douglas also professionally advises other charities.

Finance Director

David Thompson acts as the part time Finance Director of the Trust. Educated at Rugby and Durham University, David qualified with Touche Ross & Co and previously specialised in financial services. A Common Councilman, he has numerous interests in the City of London.
