AM I ELIGIBLE
The Trust is a poverty charity and so all grants paid are means-tested. Please note that most grants can be made only to children and young people who are, or have been, supported by a Freemason under the English constitution.
How do we do this?
We provide support for the majority of our families by granting a termly Maintenance Allowance for school-age children. We can also consider helping with the cost of music lessons, sports activities, school trips, uniform costs and, if deemed essential, specialist tuition. As we are a poverty charity rather than an educational charity, we will not help with school fees unless there are exceptional reasons why the child is in fee paying education. Our beneficiaries who are students usually receive a scholarship. Those beneficiaries with severe special needs can receive grants towards specialist mobility, play or educational equipment, and contributions towards home adaptations to top-up Disabled Facilities Grants.
To see if you qualify for assistance under the main work of the Trust please see our ‘can we help you’ chart.
If you think you could be eligible, take a look at how the Trust might be able to help your children if they are:
Under 16
16-19 years old
at college
at university
studying at postgraduate level
If you do not qualify for the main type of support, then you might be eligible for one of the following:
Subsidiary funds - Grants from one of the Trust’s many smaller funds which can assist in a wide variety of ways.
Please contact the Trust for further information on any of these schemes.
