(Charity No. 1115655)

To celebrate the new millennium, the RMTGB launched Lifelites, a project to provide a full package of educational and entertainment technology for children in hospices around the UK. The technology package from Lifelites aims to improve the lives of terminally ill children staying in children’s hospices by helping them to continue their education, pursue their interests and activities and keep in close touch with family and friends.

Packages include camcorders, digital cameras, printers, televisions and disability friendly gaming equipment, allowing children with life-limiting conditions to continue their education, pursue their interests and keep in touch with family and friends.

Lifelites is the only charity in the UK dedicated to improving the lives of children in hospices by providing such technlogy. The children, many of whom have severe disabilities and degenerative conditions, are helped by being able to use equipment such as touchscreen computers and specialist software.

In 2006, Lifelites was established as a separate but subsidiary charity, able to seek practical and financial support from both Freemasons and non-Masonic sources.  The RMTGB continues to appoint trustees to Lifelites and provides administrative and practical support, particularly in the form of office facilities and financial services.
