FESTIVAL 2004
THE 19TH ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL
On 12 May 2004, the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys held its 19th Anniversary Festival, which was supported by the Province of East Kent. A total of £5,357,636 was achieved, including donations from Her Majesty the Queen and the Grand President of the Trust, His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent, with the Festival President’s Province of East Kent producing £5,110,464.
The Festival was held at The Winter Gardens, Margate, with 543 Brethren and Ladies attending. The Festival President was RW Bro John Bonomy, OBE, then Provincial Grand Master for East Kent.
Distinguished guests included MW Bro The Most Hon the Marquess of Northampton, DL, Pro Grand Master and RW Bro W J Bryen, Provincial Grand Master for West Kent.
London raised £164,861 with Districts and Lodges Overseas producing £7,623, of which £4,252 came from the District of Hong Kong and the Far East.
Lodges and individuals in Provinces other than East Kent brought in a total of - £74,688.
