FESTIVAL 2009
SUPPORT THE TRUST AND COME TO THE FESTIVAL
In 2009, the Anniversary Festival is being held in the Province of Northumberland. A Brother may qualify to become a Festival Steward for this Festival by making a qualifying donation of at least £100 towards the appeal. Ladies and Lewises may qualify to become Festival Stewards on making a minimum donation of £50. Brethren and Ladies qualified as Festival Stewards are entitled to attend the Festival and dine on paying the dining fee.
Northumberland Freemasons announced a wonderful £2,969,247 Grand Total for the culmination of the 24th Anniversary Festival celebrations for the RMTGB on the 13th May 2009, held at the Marriott Hotel, Gosforth Park.
The RMTGB would like to thank the brethren of Northumberland for their magnificent efforts on behalf of over 1,700 children and young adults supported by the Trust last year.
OUR PRESENCE IN NORTHUMBERLAND
As at January 2008 there were 28 beneficiaries receiving the care and protection of the Trust from within the Province of Northumberland. These beneficiaries were receiving assistance due to the death of a parent, desertion of a parent, or the disability of a parent each category bringing its own unique heartbreak and turmoil to that family.
In the last twelve months alone, a total of over £104,000 was expended by the Trust on its beneficiaries from within the Province. Over the last 5 years this expenditure increases to almost £544,000.
The children and the young people under the protection of the Craft thank the Province for its hard work on their behalf, which enables them to maintain confidence in the belief that the Craft will continue to assist them in preparation for life ‘as their fathers would have done had they been able so to do.
